Young and the Restless Spoilers: Co-Stars Defend Chadam’s One-Night Stand + Major Feud On The Horizon

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that cheating on a loved one is never acceptable, especially when you are in a good place with your partner.

This is the exact circumstance both Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) are in, as both were riding a high wave with partners, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) when they jumped into bed together during an emotional moment in Baltimore while visiting their son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) at his treatment facility.

Is there any excuse for their behavior?

Y&R Spoilers: Melissa Claire Egan & Mark Grossman Come To Chadam’s Defense

Grossman and Egan recently had a chat with Soaps.com, talking about Chadam’s one-nighter. Of course, not everything can be taken seriously in the land of daytime drama and as they were chatting about the big storyline, Egan, jokingly, came to Chelsea’s defense, stating that, Ms. Lawson, “… didn’t do it intentionally. It was like second-degree sex, not first-degree. It wasn’t intentional.”

Grossman agreed, noting, “Yeah, it’s obviously not at a great time. We both were in relationships that we’re very happy with. So, it was very unexpected and there was some alcohol involved and we didn’t plan this.”

Y&R Spoilers: Adam Newman Versus Billy Abbott

Interestingly enough, Egan also hinted that the Billy versus Adam rivalry could heat up once again, as the dynamic between the two will be explored as this storyline progresses.

Things have calmed down significantly since Connor’s OCD diagnosis; however, it looks like Chadam’s cheating could mark the end of this peaceful co-existence.

Even though the two men have an insane history, it looks like Adam crossing this line won’t only be about betraying Sally, but a revisit to the Billy/Adam animosity on some level. Egan notes, “Even though they hate each other, that’s a messed-up thing to do to a guy. It’s this square of mixed stuff.”
