According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Summer Newman claims Harrison Locke Abbott as his own. But did she legally adopt him? She was his mother when she married Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Now that the two are divorced, they’re at odds over their son’s well-being.

Summer isn’t comfortable with Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) being Harrison’s nanny even if he’s content with her. She doesn’t believe that Claire is healed from her trauma.

There’s something about her that she can’t trust, especially since she sought revenge against the Newman family with her crazy aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk).

She treats Harrison as her own child. Y&R viewers have argued over whether Summer was Harrison’s legal mother. The topic was brought up again on the SoapCentral.com message boards.

The user tnysgrl posted: “Did Summer adopt Harrison? Unless Summer adopted Harrison when she was married to Kyle, she has no legal claim to him does she? WHERE IS TARA? They’re acting like she never existed.”

According to The Young and the Restless spoilers, Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner) was the ex-wife of Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and the mother of Harrison.

She had an affair with Kyle, who is Harrison’s biological father. Her last appearance was on August 6, 2021, when she was arrested for embezzlement. Regardless, Summer can’t adopt Harrison.

“Exactly. Her entire attitude is unnecessary, she is acting completely unhinged,” one fan wrote.

“She can’t. He still has both biological parents. Tara may be in jail but she still has parental rights,” another user noted.

This brings up a question as to whether Tara Locke will return. She should break free from jail anytime soon. She could easily be recast with Kelly Thibault, who played Britt on General Hospital. Most agree that she would perfect for the role.

The Young and the Restless spoilers suggest Summer has issues with Harrison being around Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). She’s going to contact her lawyer about this matter. Summer is desperate to keep Harrison away from everyone she can’t trust.
