Viewers are aware that Kyle is simply a pawn in Victor’s game to seek revenge on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), wanting it to really hurt Jack.

Victor has made it clear that he has the power to manipulate Kyle and turn him against his own father and figures manipulating his son’s the way to do it.

If Kyle doesn’t toe the line and absolutely perfectly, Victor won’t hesitate to kick him to the curb, since he’s just using him as a means to an end anyway! After all, Victor will still have Audra if he decides to get rid of Kyle in the end.
