Little People, Big World New Mom Audrey Roloff Called Out For Parenting Mistake

Audrey Roloff became a new mom again. The Little People, Big World alum welcomed her fourth child, Mirabella, on May 23. She should have a lot of experience under her belt by now. However, fans noticed she made this parenting mistake, which could impact her baby’s health. Keep on reading to learn more.

LBPW Star Called Out For Parenting Mistake

Audrey Roloff was called out for this risky parenting choice. She often shares family moments on her Instagram Stories. One fan noticed that she didn’t cradle her baby’s neck. On Saturday, July 27, Audrey posted a clip of herself doing laundry. She held her newborn baby in one arm and detergent in the other.

But she was determined to get laundry done. Audrey wore a black summer dress and a straw hat. She captioned the clip: “When you bring your own laundry detergent when you travel… and meat sticks lol.”

LBPW fans didn’t find this particular post funny. Most of them were concerned about Mirabella. Audrey Roloff didn’t support her baby’s neck. One fan took to Reddit to start a thread that reads: “Audrey, please support your baby’s head. I’m not a parent, but I suspect that can’t be comfortable for a baby.”

Other fans took to the thread to share their thoughts on Audrey’s Instagram Story. Most are baffled as to why she would post her parenting mistakes.

“I don’t understand why she wouldn’t lay that baby down OR use a baby swaddle! She’s holding that detergent bottle more secure than her child’s head!” one fan wrote.

“Pro tip: Instead of lugging a huge heavy bottle of detergent, get those detergent sheets that weigh almost nothing and take up no space. Also, not a huge waste of simple use plastic,” another fan advised.

Is Audrey Roloff’s Baby Safe?

Most LBPW fans were concerned about Audrey Roloff’s baby. Parents must support their baby’s head at all times. A sling allows Audrey to do laundry hands-free. Mirabella will also still have the feeling of being held without any damage to her neck.

The Mayo Clinic reports that it’s important for parents to support their baby’s head to prevent it from flopping backward. Not supporting a baby’s head can cause issues, such as injury and shaken baby syndrome. Babies don’t have the neck strength to support their heads.

What are your thoughts on Audrey Roloff not supporting her baby’s head? Do you agree that she should know better? Sound off below in the comment section.
