General Hospital Spoilers: Drew Blasts Nina And Michael For Potential Campaign Scandal

General Hospital Spoilers tease that Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Matheson) is well on his way to becoming the next Congressman serving Port Charles.

Thanks to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Drew met Congressman Larry McConkey (Sam MacMurray) who let them know he is stepping down from his position after a devastating diagnosis of lung cancer.

McConkey was so impressed with Drew that he suggested that Drew run for his seat. After much consideration, Drew agreed.

General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Quartermaine is on the campaign trail

Drew announced his candidacy on July 4th and has been ramping up his campaign ever since. Meanwhile Nina and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) have finally declared a truce and are working together at Aurora Media.

But Nina was still surprised when Michael showed up in Nina’s office asking for a huge favor. As viewers know, Michael’s mother Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) has been arrested for criminal conspiracy.

Michael has asked Nina to get him a meeting with McConkey to potentially look into John Cates (Adam Harrington) since Cates is the driving force behind Carly’s arrest.

Although Nina pointed out that they could get in serious trouble if it looks like they are trying to buy off McConkey, she eventually relented and set up a meeting for both her and Michael to meet with him in Washington DC.

Nina wants nothing more than to make peace with Michael so that he won’t stand in the way of her relationship with her daughter Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), who is also Michael’s wife. But this could potentially blow up in all their faces.

Drew and Carly were recently involved romantically. Drew also went to prison for Carly when they committed insider trading.

Since both Michael and Nina work for Drew at Aurora Media, it could appear that they are trying to bribe the Congressman on Drew’s behalf.

Once Drew discovers what Michael and Nina are doing, he most certainly won’t be happy especially if it becomes a scandal that could cost him the election.
