Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers suggest a major return could be on the horizon. EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerrigel) recently refused to sign Nicole Walker DiMera’s (Arianne Zucker) divorce papers during the Wednesday, July 18 episode.
The last thing he wants to see is his wife riding “into the sunset” with Eric Brady (Greg Vaughan).
Still, it was yet another statement that EJ noted during that show seemingly also foreshadowed a Sami Brady (Alison Sweeney) return.
DOOL spoilers remind fans that EJ also had a confrontation with Marlena Evans (Diedre Hall) during Wednesday’s show. Doc didn’t only give EJ a piece of her mind but also slapped him across the face.
The entire situation humbled EJ, and he admitted that the reason he didn’t come clean about Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty) being Eric’s baby is that he panicked; he was afraid of losing Nicole, which stemmed from the very same heartache of losing Marlena’s daughter, Sami.
Arianne Zucker is mere days (see what I did there …) from leaving Salem. As one of the top leading ladies on the show, this is a huge blow for not only the soap but also its fans. Sure, the role could be recast, but whoever steps into Nicole’s stilettos might not have the same star power as Zucker.
Who could fill this massive gap left in the daytime drama? Really, only a few people, and one of them happens to be Sami Brady and the talented Alison Sweeney. Sami storming into Salem would cause an incredible uproar, as well as buzz. There’s also a possibility that she could mend EJ’s heart.
Still, having said that, Sweeney does have her plate full with other projects and if she were to return, wouldn’t she have been included in the show’s 15,000 milestone episode and Doug Williams/Bill Hayes tribute? Then again, the producers could be keeping her comeback hush-hush for the surprise factor!
