Young and the Restless Spoilers: Summer Bonds With Katie To Get Under Claire’s Skin?

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) recently admitted to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) that she was jealous of Harrison Abbott’s (Redding Munsell) admiration toward Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).

As she’s not the boy’s biological mother, and she’s no longer with Kyle Abbott (Micheal Mealor) and doesn’t live with Harrison anymore she feels insecure about her co-parenting role in the little boy’s life.

Summer is trying to be a better person but will she do something petty to get under her new cousin’s skin?

Y&R Spoilers: Johnny & Katie Abbott Enter The Picture

Y&R spoilers for Wednesday, June 19 suggest that Claire will finally get to meet her siblings, Johnny Abbott (Paxton Mishkind) and Katie Abbott (Sienna Mercuri) and by Thursday, June 20, Ms. Grace will struggle with her “new normal”.

There’s a good chance that the Y&R is setting up a conflict between Victoria’s children, and while Johnny may help his older sister settle into the family unit easily – after all, he is used to unexpected siblings popping out of the woodwork – Katie may not.

Katie’s grown-up as Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) “only daughter”, so having Claire around may rub her the wrong way.

The bigger issue here is that Claire prides herself on being good with kids. If she can’t win over her own sister, she may begin to doubt herself, and could regress.

Y&R Spoilers: Summer Grabs An Opportunity

It’s hard to say how close Katie and Summer are, and relationships can change in soaps to suit storylines. Vicky and Summer were once very close, so it wouldn’t be shocking if Katie texted Summer while she was at boarding school, and they shared a bond.

It also wouldn’t be surprising if they started to get closer once Katie returned home.

Then again, Summer may sense that Katie holds animosity towards Claire, and run with it. She may purposely insert herself into the equation by offering to take Katie out shopping or to go for lattes – something like that because she knows the young girl’s disdain for Claire.
