The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) has made a complete turnaround in her life and left her difficult childhood in the past.

But is the “old Claire” truly a thing of the past; while it was refreshing to witness Claire’s more gentle demeanor, Y&R appears to be taking it too far.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Has Claire Become Boring?

Continuing down the path of having Claire exhibit a monotonous attitude of only expressing positivity and joking with Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell) could result in her becoming a boring character.

Perhaps it’s time to inject some unpredictability by returning her to a more flawed state! The process of redeeming a character with a troubled history is distinct from turning them into a perfect individual without faults.

The show may have erred in swiftly depicting Claire’s family as excessively amiable and forgiving. It’s not realistic to expect such an abused character to be totally redeemed and healed after a few weeks in a mental health facility.

Y&R Spoilers: More Bang For The Buck, And Way More Drama?

The show could have explored more bang for the buck and way more drama with Claire’s connection to the Jordan incident at the lake house.

However, they took a simpler path of redemption, making Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) the primary skeptic – though even she is warming up to Claire due to Harrison’s attachment.

Perhaps Claire should venture into a rebellious “bad girl” persona for added excitement to the character and the storylines.

With Claire’s past with Jordan, there’s a possibility that her old instincts could resurface, although it’s likely that Claire and Summer may compete over Kyle romantically later on.

Again, it’s difficult to believe that Claire didn’t inherit her great aunt and grandmother’s crazy, but then, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) seems okay.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Insane Jealousy The Trigger?

Could this competition for Kyle be the catalyst for Claire’s transformation and the return of Jordan’s manipulative tendencies?

Hayley Erin’s ability to switch between sweet and devious characters adds depth to Claire’s portrayal, and one must remember she’s got Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) genes as well.

If anyone could be considered truly insanely jealous, it would be Victor as well as Eve Howard (Margaret Mason); the dungeon Jordan was in was built for his first wife’s lover!
