Poppy, on the other hand, could drop subtle hints about a swift engagement, assuring Bill that her answer would be a resounding yes. Gone are the days when Poppy prioritized her independence; now, her heart yearns for a shared future with Bill.

In a recent episode, viewers found out that indeed Katie and Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint-Victor) were no longer together, although they were amicable.

The big question is, does Katie want Bill back-in fact, her sister Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) recently posed that question. Poppy has fully committed to a life with wealthy Bill and is enjoying the luxurious lifestyle at his mansion.

But, she’s starting to become a bit too cocky about her position in Bill’s world. Her behavior towards Katie is raising eyebrows, hinting that she may be painted as the story’s antagonist, accused of being a gold-digger.

Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) has been critical of Poppy since the beginning, so perhaps there’s some validity to her claims; even when Luna first came to town, she demanded she leave.

That situation begged questions of what Li may have been hiding about Luna and her paternity, although now they’re sure it was Bill.

The situation seems ripe for Poppy’s manipulative tendencies to come to light, causing Katie to grow more defensive of Bill, and Katie may secretly desire to rekindle their relationship.

If a quick engagement announcement is forthcoming, the wedding bells for Bill and Poppy might not be far off. Competition has a way of reigniting past emotions and prompting characters to contemplate what could have been; will Katie conspire against their nuptials and potentially reveal Poppy’s true intentions?
