General Hospital Spoilers: Did The Soap Drop The Ball On A Finn, Hayden, Violet Family Reunion?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers note that Dr. Finn Hamilton is officially out of Port Charles, and while his character is off to rehab; however, it doesn’t look like he’ll return anytime soon as actor Michael Easton confirmed his exit earlier this week.

From his break-up with Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) to his alcoholic struggles and then rehab, everything about this storyline seemed “rushed”. It generally takes months to develop a storyline of this nature, and this all unraveled in a matter of weeks.

Still, did the soap miss a major opportunity with Finn and Violet Finn (Jophielle Love)?

GH spoilers suggest that Finn is in a 90-day rehab program; however, fans know he won’t likely be returning. What happens next for Finn, and will Violet remain in Port Charles? That’s hard to say. This storyline could go so many ways.

The saddest part of this all is that Violet has had so many changes in her young life. From her mom, Hayden Barnes (Rebecca Budig) leaving her to adapting to a new life with her dad, her grandfather Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) just died, and now she’s parentless, living at the Quartermaines with Brook Lynn Chase (Amanda Setton) and her Uncle Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).

GH Spoilers: Most Fans Wanted To See Hayden & Finn Reunite

Even sadder is the fact that Hayden never returned to canvas. Many fans were hoping for this, especially when Finn and Liz hooked up.

Viewers believed that that the nurse’s sister was destined for a comeback to stir up the Fiz romance, optimistically believing that Finn would eventually choose Violet’s mom and the three could finally experience a family reunion (and happily ever after).

This isn’t to say that this won’t happen, but fans know if it does, it’ll occur well into the future. Depending on what happens to Finn after his 90-day rehab stint, only time will tell.

With brother Chase in Port Charles, Finn could always return, but for now, some GH viewers can’t help but feel as if the soap missed a major storyline opportunity.
