General Hospital Spoilers reveal Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) is completely in the dark about why Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) was strong-armed into becoming an FBI informant and kept away from everyone he loves for the last two years. Why?
She hasn’t bothered to ask. Jason and Carly practically operate on one brain when it comes to these things. She knows that if he wanted her to know the truth about why he was gone for so long and what became of his time spent away, he would tell her — and he trusts that he will when he’s ready.
Isn’t that convenient, since Carly is normally overly demanding and insists upon being included in everything and having no detail kept from her?
The fans don’t love the framing of Carly as though she suddenly respects being kept closed off from the truth — especially when it comes to her bestie, Jason. But rumor has it she’s going to lose it when she finds out it’s because she’s been the problem the whole time.
Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is determined to keep her son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn), safe no matter what the cost.
When she went to Carly for help in getting Jason to distance himself from their son, she was taken aback but still not really surprised that Carly refused to carry that water for her.
The last thing Carly wants to see is Jason in pain because he has been annexed from his son’s life. At the same time, she probably can’t argue that the lifestyle she chose for her own children hasn’t been the safest, and the death of her son — Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) — serves as testimony to that, which Sam cruelly pointed out.
But that was the point — Carly chose that life, just as Sam did when she fell in love with Jason all those years ago and spent many more with him before deciding she wanted to have his child.
Sam’s continued bitterness may keep building as Carly has iced her out in favor of aligning with Jason — especially if Sam and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are the first to figure out Jason is being blackmailed because of his loyalty to Carly.
Special Agent John ‘Jagger’ Cates (Adam Harrington) thinks he’s hit pay dirt — or at least he’s pretending to as he zeroes in on PCPD Police Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), convinced that she is the head of Pikeman.
While Jason tries to help Anna get out from under Valentin Cassadine’s (James Patrick Stuart) thumb, it’ll keep him bound to the FBI a bit longer than he desires.
Will Jason’s involvement with Anna lead Spinelli and Sam down a new rabbit hole that unearths the truth about where Jason’s heart really lies — and how far it is from his kids?
After the massive blowout Sam and Carly had at the Metro Court pool this week, it stands to reason that they’re not going to make up anytime soon.
But that’s just what this storyline needs as the tracks are laid for one of them to come out fighting against the other. Carly has drawn a line in the sand when it comes to what she’ll do for Sam.
When it comes to Jason, he’s always her first priority. That’s a good thing since she is clearly his, too. But Jason knows Carly like the back of his hand and warned Anna that if she found out why he is acting as an informant, she would do something crazy…like turn herself in.
Will Sam find out the truth and facilitate making that happen even faster — and possibly without Carly’s consent? Stay tuned for more General Hospital news and spoilers to find out.
