Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Raven Bowens Talks Her “Favorite” DOOL Storyline To Date

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Chanel Dupree (Raven Bowens) is dealing with a lot as of late. She should be very excited that she and Johnny DiMera (CarSon Boatman) are expecting their first child, and while she is, she also happens to be more than a little stressed.

That’s because her mom, Paulina Price (Jackée Harry), exposed her to radiation before she knew she was pregnant, thus exposing her unborn child to its harmful effects.

This has created a bittersweet situation, as the couple navigates through the stress of potentially having a child who will be born with differing abilities, because of the Salem mayor’s impulsive actions.

Days Spoilers: Raven Bowen’s Comments On The Baby Storyline

DOOL spoilers indicate that no pregnancy in Salem goes smoothly, and there are often dramatic bumps in the road. Raven Bowens recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) and when asked about her current arc, she states, “This is my favorite storyline that I’ve gotten to do so far. At first, I was like, ‘OK, we’re dealing with some real stuff’ and I love that.

She goes on to say that “When I saw they were going to bring on the character Felicity, actually somebody come on the show and play this character (with Down syndrome), I thought, ‘wow, this is incredible. I’m so excited we are giving representation. It’s very rare.”

What has she done to prepare for the storyline? Bowens notes that she mostly spoke to people who have been placed in the position Chanel is in, and talked a lot with Kennedy Garcia’s (Felicity Greene) mother.

DOOL Spoilers: Raven Bowens Time In Salem

Raven has been playing the role of Chanel Dupree since 2021 and is the second actress to be cast as Paulina’s youngest daughter, as Precious Way originated the part.

Chanel has had her fair share of interesting arc over the years, including the infamous love triangle between her, Johnny, and his twin sister Allie Horton (Lindsay Arnold), a first for the show.

Still, it’s clear she’s enjoying this current one, as an expected mom who has a lot more to worry about than your typical “first-time mom”.
