Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Has A Storyline Been Dropped Amidst Wedding Shootings, Baby Returns, & Paternity Reveals?

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that Salem has been a fiery hot town as of late, with Baby Jude (Oliver McLarty) finally being returned to Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker), the Kaggie wedding going awry, and fans are looking forward to the big reveal when Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) finds out he’s really Victor Kiriakis’s (John Aniston) son, not Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).

As Days is filmed so far in advance, May 31 marked the first day the soap aired Ron Carlivati content, post-writers strike. While the strike did end in October 2023, as scenes are shot several months ahead of time, fans are now getting to see Ron wrap up some storylines that were left dragging because of the strike. Simply put, it’s been an explosive time in Salem.

But has he forgotten a major plot that had been building up for weeks?

DOOL Spoilers: The Prom Has Always Been Big

Days spoilers note many within Salem have been gearing up for Salem High’s Prom. The drama has been escalating within the teen scene in town, as Tate Black (Leo Howard) and Holly Jonas (Ashley Puzemis) are secretly dating, while her BFF, Sophia Choi (Madelyn Kientz) likes and is going to the Prom with Tate.

Meanwhile, Tate’s friend Aaron Greene (Lois Tomeo) has a crush on Sophia. It’s complicated, to say the least!

To add even more conflict to the mix, Nicole forbade Holly to go to the big event, and Tate’s parents, Theresa Donovan (Emily O’Brien) and Brady Black (Eric Martsolf) were going to chaperone the dance.

The Prom was being set up as a major night … but did the show sweep the arc under the rug?

Days Spoilers: Did The Prom Already Happen?

DOOL spoilers suggest there’s been no talk about the Prom this week, when it was going to happen, or if it happened; however, an X/Twitter user recently speculated that, technically, it looks like the party already occurred.

Liz (@abetterlizard) posted a photo from Salem High with a post that notes the Prom was taking place on June 5, which was this past week!

Still, as fans know, Days doesn’t always follow the “real-world” dates with a wedding or a holiday lasting days or weeks, sometimes. Perhaps the Prom is yet to come, as Carlivati and his crew work to wrap up lingering stories before the big high school event. Only time will tell.
