Memorial Day Is A United States Holiday

Memorial Day is a holiday in the United States, which brings about several changes in the country. It is a bank holiday, resulting in the closure of various businesses. Additionally, people have the day off from work, causing television shows, including some soap operas, to be altered.

Memorial Day 2024 falls on Monday, May 27. It is a day to honor and remember the US military members who lost their lives while serving in the Armed Forces. The date was moved to the last Monday of May in 1971 from May 30, marking the beginning of summer.

What Will Be Aired On General Hospital?

On Monday, May 27th, a rerun of the October 5, 2023 show will air. Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattson) will be rescued from Ferncliff and Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder) will be taken into custody. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will confront Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and his man Frank (Frank Lyon) will escort her out of Port Charles.

Also, Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez) will eavesdrop on Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) talking about their new house. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) will share a special night in New York City.

What Will The CBS Soaps And DOOL Air?

The Bold and Beautiful spoils that Steffy Forrester-Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is furious when she learns of her husband John “Finn” Finnegan’s (Tanner Novlan) betrayal.

Over at The Young and The Restless, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) makes a decision about Jordan’s (Colleen Zenk) future, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) takes matters into her own hands, and Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) alters interfere with her treatment.

As for Days of Our Lives, streaming on Peacock, it will also air on Memorial Day. Spoilers continue in the next paragraph.

Here’s What’s Happening In Days Of Our Lives

Some of these actors will be familiar to GH viewers from the present and past of General Hospital. When the truth about baby Jude Brady (Oliver McLarty) comes out, Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) is left in shock. Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) and Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) plot to track down where Clyde Weston (James Read) is hiding out.  

John Black (Drake Hogestyn) and Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) get copies of Clyde’s black book from Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering); Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) inform Maggie Kiriakis (Suzanne Rogers) that they are engaged.
