The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is going through every parent’s worst nightmare: his son is struggling mentally and emotionally and he feels powerless to help him.
Luckily he has Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) to support him as Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) fights to turn the tide thousands of miles away from home. Adam is impulsive, could he do something unexpected for all the wrong reasons?
Adam is grateful for Sally’s support but there’s a part of him that fears he will lose her if he doesn’t lock her down. Will Adam’s emotional instability lead him to propose to Sally for all the wrong reasons?
He is feeling terrible over the fact that Connor thinks that he is a burden on his parents, Adam and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan). Adam is at a low point in his life and it would be just like him to do something reckless to make himself feel better.
Once Connor finds the right meds and gets comfortable with therapy he will begin to turn a corner. But until then, his low morale can’t help but negatively affect his parents.
Historically, Adam likes to cut corners to fix problematic situations. It would be right in Adam’s wheelhouse to marry Sally as a way of proving to Connor that he is living his best life.
Adam truly loves Sally, but in his mind he could come to believe that marrying Sally will make Connor happy and help him stop worrying about ruining his parents’ lives.
If Adam gives in to this way of thinking, he could buy an engagement ring for Sally and propose marriage with an ulterior motive.
Explosive show spoilers tease that Adam and Sally could have some bumps in the road ahead. Will this have to do with Sally refusing to marry Adam?
He doesn’t like to be told no and being rejected could cause him to spiral downward, further worrying Connor. Tell us Y&R fans, do you want Sally and Adam to marry, or does Adam need to sort out his personal life first by prioritizing Connor’s health?
