Deacon and Tom seem to share a special kind of connection. In fact, Deacon thinks that Tom could use a second chance, just like he needed one.

B&B spoilers reveal that Deacon followed the clues that led to Sheila’s rescue. Despite everyone calling Deacon crazy, he knew that it was Janet Webber aka “Sugar” (also played by Kimberlin Brown) in the crematory, not Sheila.

Deacon insisted that Sheila was alive and in trouble. Deacon grabbed John “Finn” Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) into the search. Finn and Deacon ran into a homeless man named Tom, who pointed them in the right direction.

At Deacon and Sheila’s wedding, Tom was the officiant. Deacon gave Tom a suit to wear and he did a great job. In an interview, actor Sean Kanan explained to Soap Opera Digest that Deacon feels kind of drawn to Tom. Deacon feels that he just needed a second chance, and feels that Tom could use one of those as well.

It certainly sounds like Deacon and Tom’s dynamic might continue.

Bonding with Tom

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers reveal that Deacon and Tom have bonded. It wouldn’t surprise us if Deacon offered Tom a job at the restaurant.

Deacon and Sheila could buy their own house, and “rent” or “pay in kind” the apartment to Tom. However, could there be another type of connection discovered?

It seems in soaps, new characters have some kind of connection to at least one existing character. Soaps also tend to like to make everyone related.

So, is it possible that the reason why Deacon feels so drawn to Tom is because they share a hidden connection? Is it possible that Deacon could be Tom’s biological son?

With Deacon and Sheila getting more screen time and story arcs, it might be time for the family to grow. Could fans see some of Sheila’s other children make a comeback? Coud Deacon’s own family grow with the addition of him finding his birth father?
