General Hospital Spoilers: Rena Sofer’s Heartwarming Remarriage to Second Ex-Husband on 21st Anniversary”

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Rena Sofer, who’s currently playing Lois Cerullo on the ABC soap, recently remarried her second husband. She remarried Sanford Bookstaver on what would have been their 21st anniversary had they not had that divorce gap in between!

General Hospital Spoilers: Third Time’s A Charm-Or Does Marriage To The Same Guy Twice Count?

This is Rena’s third time getting married but only her second husband, so is the third time the charm or is it the second? Rena’s first husband is none other than Wally Kurth, her onscreen husband while playing Lois Cerullo the first time on GH-they, share a grown daughter and remain friends.

After their divorce in 2017, Rena and Sanford, who also have an 18-year-old daughter named Avalon, surprised everyone when they announced their reunion in 2020.

The pair announced their wedding update on Instagram-Rena shared, “On what would have been our 21st wedding anniversary, I had the opportunity to marry my best friend @sbookstaver all over again! The upcoming journey is the most thrilling adventure, in a different state and city, but the most exciting part is that we are embarking on it together as husband and wife!”

GH Spoilers: Three Years Apart Were Heartbreaking

Rena went on to say, the three years they spent apart were a humbling and heartrending period, but they were crucial in leading them back to each other.

She then tells him the love she has for him now serves as the foundation of her entire existence. In a romantic and poetic way, she then states “I cannot imagine a single moment without walking through life hand in hand, our hearts forever intertwined”. She follows that with “You are the love of my life, and I am so grateful that we were given another chance to be together!”

The old saying “absence makes the heart grow fonder” certainly does seem to be true for this couple, not to mention sometimes losing or near losing someone does make reconciliations stronger.

General Hospital Spoilers: Sanford Bookstaver Echoes His Wife’s Sentiments

Sanford echoes his wife’s sentiments in his own Instagram post, saying “This Saturday would have been our 21st Wedding Anniversary. We were divorced for a few years, spent time apart working on ourselves, and then came back together stronger than ever. I remarried my best friend and soulmate again!

Life with you has never been better, and I’m the luckiest man alive to get to spend the rest of my life with you @rena.sofer. Here’s to a brand-new lifetime together and to all@of our new adventures. I love you more than anything in the world.”
