General Hospital Spoilers: If Dex is the Next Jason, is Joss a Rising Elizabeth?

General Hospital spoilers suggest there are many parallels between Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). GH fans have been lamenting about such since the first time Dex rode into town to work for Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

As soon as we saw Dex starting to respect Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and even sympathize with him, we knew we were being primed to accept him as another Jason.

But Jason is back, and Dex is out. Still, Dex has a similarly strict moral code he’s trying to follow, and a similar relationship transpired between him and Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) as we’ve seen with Jason and other women.

But not Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), despite how many fans feel Joss is so much like her mother. Rather, Joss is shaping up to be much more akin to a different old flame Jason continues to carry in his heart.

General Hospital Spoilers — Even Joss Isn’t Good Enough to Be a Robin

While diehard GH fans remember all too well the relationship between Jason and Robin Scorpio Drake (Kimberly McCullough), anyone else he’s ever coupled up with has paled in comparison to Robin.

Carly has often thrown that fact in Jason’s face, implying she knows she will never live up to Robin’s standards because she isn’t as pure, innocent, or righteous as Robin. Honestly, who is?

Not Joss; that’s for certain. She’s too spicy like her mother, even if she is willing to part ways with a guy because he entertained committing murder. Still, she’s no Robin, regardless of her path toward medical school which may or may not happen.

GH Spoilers Leak She’s a Far Cry From Sam

Newer GH fans may not fully understand the dynamic between Jason and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). Although he came clean with Sam and told her about his FBI informant status, that’s not going to entirely clear the air between them.

But longtime GH fans know how Sam used to be — much more forgiving of Jason’s line of work and the danger he brought in his kids’ lives, even to the point that she was attracted to it, too. That’s definitely not Joss.

She wants nothing to do with the mob. She wasn’t even fully comfortable with Dex working for Sonny in any capacity because she knew he dabbled on the other side of the law.

That’s not what Joss is about, but she still tolerated Dex’s stint in the mob. That’s not something the new Sam would do.

General Hospital Spoilers — Is Joss the Next Elizabeth in the Making?

Of Jason’s many lovers, it’s Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) who may have set the bar for Joss to rise to. The fans just don’t know it yet. Watching her fall in and out of love with Dex has shared many parallels with Elizabeth’s love story with Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) at a similar age.

The hardships and traumas Elizabeth went through -– including being raped — have been mirrored in Joss and Dex’s rollercoaster of a relationship as he continued to save her from harm and she became the most important person in his life.

Elizabeth and Joss drive a hard bargain. They don’t accept excuses, but they will cherry pick who they make exceptions for with their faulty principles.

Most of all, Elizabeth wouldn’t tolerate Jason’s dangerous job, just as Joss won’t sacrifice herself to be with Dex if he’s going to stoop so low as to do Sonny’s murderous bidding.
