General Hospital Spoilers: Dante’s Shocking Career Change, New PI Firm With Sam?

General Hospital spoilers tease that yet another Port Charles resident may be about to make a career change. At the moment, a large number of Port Charles citizens are switching jobs.

And there be one more in Dante Falconeri’s (Dominic Zomprogna) recent conversation with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) is any indication.

Dante has been a cop for almost the entire time he’s lived in Port Charles, which is most of his adult life. When he first arrived, he was undercover tasked with taking Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard) down.

Sonny actually shot Dante before he discovered they were father and son. Over the years, Sonny and Dante have gotten close but they’ve always maintained a boundary where their careers are concerned.

While Dante would never look the other way if Sonny were to commit a crime, he also would most likely avoid being involved in any investigation involving his father.

At times, that just isn’t possible such as when Dante recently had to arrest Sonny for beating Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) within an inch of his life. Dante’s first instinct is to protect his father, not follow the law, which means he needs to make a change of some sort.

GH Spoilers – Dante Falconeri almost died!

With the boundaries becoming more blurred as of late, it’s easy to see why Dante might want to leave the force. But there are other factors as well. Dante was recently shot again in the line of duty and came close to dying.

As it was, he was comatose for several days. He’s also been brainwashed during his undercover work for the WSB. And although he and Sam aren’t married, they are happy together and raising their blended family happily.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sam McCall is a private investigator!

Perhaps Sam could suggest that Dante could leave the force while continuing to do good in the world. But instead of being cops, perhaps they could join forces and form a Detective Agency together.

They have worked well together in the past, and this would give them an opportunity to have some big, romantic adventures. There would still be danger involved but likely much less than he has now as a cop. Also,

Dante would have to keep a balancing act between his father’s business and his duty as a cop. Sam and Dante could easily make this work if it’s something they both want.
