General Hospital spoilers claim Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is about to head to Albany for the hearing that will decide the fate of the rest of her career.
She’s more than ready to let The Invader fall by the wayside and be a part of her past, but having to continue plugging away as Editor-in-Chief is nothing compared to reconciling with the idea that there is truly no hope for her to ever be a practicing attorney again.
Alexis’ biggest fear is this hearing won’t go in her favor. At the same time, if she’s obviously not thinking so far ahead she is concerned about Kristina Corinthos Davis’ (Kate Mansi) and Molly Lansing Davis’ (Kristen Vaganos) legal battle that lies ahead.
While she suspects it may end up that way, she’s only viewing her role in the mix as their mother who has a legal mind.
She’s not thinking of herself as the attorney they could both end up fighting over for representation in some form or another. How will she ever weasel her way out of this one?
Molly never asked for the position she’s about to be put in, and she’s still holding out hope that it won’t come to fruition — at least not anytime before her baby is born.
Kristina holds the keys to that castle, legally, and Molly doesn’t want to do anything to upset her. Not only is she concerned about Kristina’s well-being while she is pregnant with her would-be child, but she doesn’t want to jeopardize their relationship in any way that could have Kristina backing away from their surrogacy deal while she’s pregnant with TJ Ashford’s (Tajh Bellow) child.
That being said, Molly won’t have a choice when it comes down to her job. If she’s tasked with prosecuting Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she may spark a war with her sister.
Kristina may now know a smidgen of the truth about the kind of guy her father is, thanks to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), but she hasn’t really decided how she feels about that reality just yet.
Knowing Kristina, she may choose not to live in reality at all and to continue loving her father in spite of his flaws. Seeing someone so close to her — Molly — go on the attack against her father is likely to only push Kristina further into her dad’s corner and away from Molly.
What will that mean for the baby she’s carrying, whom she is supposed to willingly give up after giving birth to him or her?
Kristina’s father won’t be the only family member mixed up in this mess. It’s unlikely Sonny will even feel responsible for Kristina’s shady decision to renege on her surrogacy offer after she’s already this deep into it.
Rather, he’ll probably side with Kristina in whichever way the wind blows her feelings. But it won’t be that cut and dry with Alexis, who has always seemed to favor Team Molly over Team Kristina.
This time will be no different, even though she has thought from the start that it was risky for Molly to take Kristina’s word on being able to fulfill her end of this deal.
With both of her daughters pushing her to take a side — and likely being an attorney again able to represent only one of them — will Alexis be able to stay neutral and out of the line of fire before one or both of her relationships with her daughters implode?
