Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that a new face is about to pop up in the land of Genoa City, playing a key role in a major storyline moving forward.

According to Soap Opera Digest (SOD), daytime drama veteran, Christopher Cousins will soon join the cast come late April.

Y&R Spoilers: Christopher Cousins Set To Play “Alan Laurent”

Y&R spoilers reveal that Cousins has been cast as Alan Laurent, Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) psychiatrist friend from Paris. She’s referred to him quite often in the past, especially when talking to sister Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland).

It’s interesting that Cousins/Laurent will be entering the arc, at this point in time. After all, Ashley’s on the cusp of starting therapy, with the support of the entire Abbott family, as her mental health issues have spiraled so much, that it’s become apparent that she needs help.

Will Alan become her therapist? Could he know the reason why her dissociative identity disorder (DID) has surfaced? Was he behind what triggered it? Then again, could he become Ashley’s next love interest? He may be headed to GC out of pure concern for his friend!

Y&R Spoilers: Christopher Cousins Set Past Work

No stranger to soap operas, Another Worlds (AW) fans may remember Cousins for playing Greg Houston from 1986 to 1987. Christopher would then move over to As The World Turns (ATWT) in 1990 for a brief period of time, jumping into the role of Colin Growley.

In 1991, Christopher was involved with One Life To Life (OLTL), playing Cain Rogan. He also appeared on General Hospital (GH) in 2020, teaming up with Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gait) to help Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) with his PTSD.

Cousins has also had a slew of primetime spots, from Designated Survivor to Glee, Breaking Bad, The Resident, and so much more.

Christopher will debut on the Y&R for a multi-episode storyline, beginning Tuesday, April 30.
