Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers indicate that while Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) isn’t overly fond of her cousin Claire Grace (Hayley Erin), her ex-hubby, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), has gotten to know Claire on his own and has developed admiration for the new Newman.

Kyle has learned more about Claire’s side of things and now has compassion for what the young lady went through growing up. As the two continue to get acquainted in the weeks ahead, will their closeness rub Summer the wrong way?

Y&R spoilers hint that Claire is likely Kyle’s next love interest. They are becoming friends, and a recent run-in has Mr. Abbott more intrigued than ever to get to know Claire better.

They’ll continue to have chance encounters, until he possibly pulls the plug on asking her to hang out, formally.

Y&R teasers also suggest that Claire could “save the day” for Summer, Kyle, and little Harrison Abbott (Redding Munsell).

Much like Kyle, Harrison seems to adore Claire, but Summer is super skeptical about whether or not Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) long-lost daughter has changed. After hearing the story of what happened at the lake house, Summer isn’t ready to open her arms to her cousin.

Still, with Jordan (Colleen Zenk) out on the loose, and Harrison being a target due to his vulnerability, could she cash in on an opportunity and kidnap the little boy?

If she does, there’s a good chance that Claire is the one to save him. She’ll undeniably risk everything, not only because Harrison means so much to the family, but because she doesn’t want her Aunt Jordan to harm or hurt him, the way she was.

While Kyle will forever be indebted to Claire if she saves Harrison, Summer will blame her cousin for placing her stepson in the line of fire to begin with. Summer doesn’t like Claire, so the fact that she’ll get a hero’s welcome from everyone, including Kyle will drive her crazy.

This whole Harrison ordeal will accelerate the Clyle romance, and the two could share their first kiss shortly after the fact. What if Summer stumbles upon the two?

While Summer has a nice relationship with Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd), seeing Kyle with Claire could trigger some jealousy. But could also spark Summer’s old sinister side to surface?
