The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) is in for a shocker when she discovers “Belle”, her mother Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) alter!
It seems Abby is the only member of the Abbott family who’s been left out of the loop where her own mother’s problems are concerned!
While Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) have been there for Ashley, Abby has been noticeably absent.
It’s crucial for Abby to be informed about her mother’s deteriorating mental state, and hopefully, this issue will be resolved sooner rather than later.
Abby’s absence could simply be due to some scheduling conflicts behind the scenes; however, it’s clear that Abby is missing out on a storyline she should definitely be a part of.
With Ashley’s new alter, “Belle,” making an appearance at Society alongside her psychologist friend Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins), Abby might be in for a shocker of a surprise.
Even though she has Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks)as a day manager, Abby still frequents Society and could show up at the most unexpected moment.
This could lead to an interesting encounter between Abby and “Belle,” causing quite a stir, Abby not having a clue what’s going on with her mom! A recent preview video features “Belle” having a conversation with Alan at Society, where Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can be seen in the background at the bar.
Jack may end up babysitting Ashley since she’s got a habit of taking off without warning – at least when her alters are in control. Maybe Abby will have a wild encounter with “Belle” and demand answers from Jack moments later, tearing into him, arguing he should’ve told her Ashley was experiencing some sort of breakdown.
Whatever the case, it’d be nice to see Abby get a chance to show some concern for Ashley-it’d be a much better use of the character than the current scenario.
Our predictions indicate Abby will get updates on Ashley’s blackouts, mood swings and personality shifts sooner or later, so stay tuned for her reaction to that troubling news.
Abby and the other Abbotts will ultimately get confirmation that Ashley has dissociative identity disorder, there’ll be even more fears as this storyline moves along.
Obviously, Ashley will get treatment at some point, possibly put into a judicial commitment to force the issue, but she’ll spin out a bit more first!
Perhaps the reasoning of the rest of the family is that they think Ashley wouldn’t want her daughter to know she’s in psychiatric trouble-if she could even tell them.
But Abby would definitely want to know and she needs to know, what would have happened if she’d been there instead of Traci, discovering “Belle” acting seductive?
