General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Makes a Play for Carly’s Emotions — Will It Work?
General Hospital spoilers say Nina Reeves Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) doesn’t have many friends she can call on at this point when she needs help.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is swamped with work at Deception as it continues to flail in the wind, not to mention her personal life being a wreck since she was forced to admit to herself that she still loves Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson).
Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is still out of town and missing in action. Ava Jerome (Maura West) is no longer her friend now that it’s clear she’s angling for Nina’s man — and therein lies the problem.
Nina certainly knows how to get under Carly Spencer’s (Laura Wright) skin, but it may not be so easy this time around. After all, Carly and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) recently declared their mutual separation from one another — walking away practically enemies more than just exes.
Will Carly care when Nina makes a case for joining ranks with her to protect the man they’ve both loved and lost?
General Hospital Spoilers — Drew Won’t Listen
Nina may not run to Carly right out of the gate, but she will quickly realize that she has few other options to call upon. Her recent alliance with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) isn’t quite as solid as she’d like it to be. Drew doesn’t exactly consider her a formidable ally — or an ally at all — in the same way that she views him.
When she tells him what tricks Ava has up her sleeve, Nina will shudder at Drew’s lack of care. While he doesn’t want to see anyone get hurt, he also knows Sonny is a grown man and what he does in his private life is his business.
Besides, he’ll instantly sense that Nina’s concern has more to do with Sonny moving on — and with Ava — than Ava having bad intentions.
GH Spoilers Suggest Carly Still Cares.
When Nina feels pushed to come clean with Carly about what has transpired between her and Ava, it’s anyone’s guess whether Carly will take it on board in an actionable way.
Sure, Carly doesn’t trust Ava either, but she’s grown to work with the woman over the years in co-parenting Avery Corinthos (Grace Scarola).
When Sonny was presumed dead, Carly and Ava both laid down their arms and agreed to move forward working together for Avery’s benefit. Since then, they go along to get along most of the time.
Carly doesn’t even seem particularly concerned about Ava having moved into Sonny’s place, but she’s not carrying a torch for her ex anymore either.
Nevertheless, Ava’s involvement in Morgan Corinthos’ (Bryan Craig) death is always in the back of Carly’s mind. If Nina relays to Carly that Ava has malicious intentions, will Carly still care enough about Sonny to take that bait and try to do something to extract Ava from the situation?
General Hospital Spoilers — Enough is Enough
Rumor has it that while Carly has always gone to bat for Sonny, she may not show up for this fight this time around. Nina is still grieving the loss of her marriage.
Carly is likely to relish a bit in her pain when she learns that Nina has not only botched her marriage but lost Sonny to her alleged best friend. When Nina pleads with Carly to help her help Sonny, and Carly relays that he’s not her concern anymore, will Nina be forced to go at this alone?
One thing is for certain; Nina will be stunned at the appearance of Carly’s lack of care for her children’s father. Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to see how this plays out.
