Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers and updates tease Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) confesses something to Kayla Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) that puts her in shock!

However, John Black (Drake Hogestyn) is the one who gets clobbered, does Steve confess he and John helped Clyde Weston (James Read) escape?

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers – Steve Johnson Confesses

Steve confesses to Kayla that he and John let Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) talk them into a distraction that would allow Clyde to escape, but be caught.

Ava had called her mobbed up cousins from Philadelphia to help, they were supposed to intercept Clyde at the airstrip.

Clyde promised to free Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) and Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace), but it went sideways, and the cousins Vitali were found tied up by Steve and John.

This wasted all kinds of valuable time in tracking down Tripp and Wendy, and no one knows what happened to Clyde and his fugitive girlfriend Rebecca Goldman (Kristy St. John)!

It had been John who had convinced Steve that they could pull it off-create a hazardous fumes situation at Statesville, and bring Clyde in so no one would know.

DOOL Spoilers – Tripp Johnson And Wendy Shin Nearly Died, Wendy Is Traumatized

Even though Tripp is actually Ava’s son with Steve, he and Kayla have always been very close, and Kayla has felt like he’s her son as well.

So, to realize that Steve and John created part of the problem that allowed Tripp and Wendy to nearly die and Wendy have PTSD, it angers Kayla.

She allows Steve a little bit of a pass because he knew Tripp and Wendy were in trouble before she did, although she reported Tripp hadn’t shown up for his shift.

Steve has tended to try not to panic people in situations like this, trying to spare them-that’s why he and John kept chasing Ava out of the brewery tank!

But Steve was much closer to the situation than John in reality, and she feels like John made a bad call trusting Ava to handle it through her cousins!

Kayla’s built-up stress finally comes out even though other than Wendy’s post-traumatic-stress symptoms, she and Tripp are okay, and John has come to the hospital to get something.

Kayla tells him yeah, I have something for you, and punches him right in the gut! Steve apologizes to her and then she’ll obviously have an apology ready for John for taking her stress out on him-after all, they were both in on that failed op.

Clyde and Goldman are still on the loose and Ava’s not being forthcoming as to if he’s been in contact with her.

That means he’s still got something holding over her head and she can’t be sure if her son and his girlfriend/wife are safe or not!
