Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note that fans have been buzzing everywhere as the soap continues to announce some incredible returns for the show’s 15,000th show that is seemingly coinciding with the tribute set for the late Bill Hayes (Doug Williams).
From Melissa Reeves (Jennifer Horton) to her sidekick Matthew Ashford (Jack Deveraux), Maree Cheatham (Marie Horton) – the last surviving original Days cast member – Ciara Brady Weston (Victoria Konefal), Shawn Brady (Brandon Beemer), Belle Brady Black (Martha Madison), Eli Grant (Lamon Archey) and Lani Grant (Sal Stowers), as well as Another World alum Stephen Schnetzer (Steve Olson) and Gloria Loring (Liz Chandler). The event promises to be something avid DOOL fans won’t want to miss.
With that being said, two names that haven’t appeared in the news regarding returns are Kristian Alfonso (Hope Williams Brady) and Peter Reckell (Bo Brady). Now, one of them has confirmed they are a no-go for the big show.
DOOL spoilers hint that while all the names listed are incredible, the idea of Bope not being at Doug’s tribute will feel off. After all, Hope is his daughter, and he had a very special relationship with Bo.
Still, when X user @dailydool posted a video of the Days cast and crew gathering at the 15,000th episode celebration, Reckell was quick to add this comment: “Congratulations on reaching this milestone! Wish I was there celebrating with you.”
He added a champagne-glasses-clinking emoji, as well as a thumbs-up emoji.
Reckell would go on to repost another video from DOOL’s 15,000th episode and a group photo from the event of Stephen Nichols (Steve Johnson), Judi Evans (Bonnie Lockhart-Kiriakis, ex-Adrienne Johnson-Kiriakis), Wally Kurth (Justin Kiriakis), as well as Matthew Ashford, and Missy Reeves.
It’s hard to understand why neither Bo nor Hope will be at Doug’s funeral. While Bo is currently in a coma, and it can be written that Hope stayed back to watch over him, this is also the land of Salem, where literally anything can happen.
Even if Kristian Alfonso was not available due to scheduling reasons, surely Bo’s “spirit” could’ve made its way to the little town to pay his final respects.
Then again, maybe Peter Reckell (and Kristian Alfonso) merely wasn’t at the afterparty, and will swerve fans with a surprise appearance? Only time will tell!
Are you disappointed that Bo won’t be a part of the show’s 15,000th episode and possibly Doug’s funeral? Add your thoughts below!
