Young and the Restless Spoilers: Jabot & Marriage Drama Causes Diane To Spiral Into Her Old Scheming Self
Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Diane Abbott (Susan Walters) has a lot going on right now. While she’s riding a bit of a wave with her recent appointment as Jabot’s CEO, the new job has created conflict between her and her son Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
On top of all that, she’s dealing with some slight resentment toward her hubby, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), as he continues to be the main source of support in Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) battle with sobriety.
Could all this trigger Diane into dipping into her old scheming roots?
Y&R Spoilers: Diane Abbott Went To Extreme Lengths To “Prove” Herself
Y&R spoilers indicate that Diane went to great lengths to prove she had changed when she returned to Genoa City back in 2022.
While fans have been skeptical about her leaving her scheming ways behind, Diane’s evolution from villainess to the “good” person she is today has won her the status of being Ms. Jack Abbott, catapulted her career, and she’s gotten her family back in the process.
Other than some snide remarks here and there, Diane’s managed to stay in her lane. Still, old habits are hard to break, and with the stress of having to deal with her son’s attitude at work, plus, the worry of how close Jack is getting with Nikki, and the concern he could fall off the wagon; could she decide to turn to her old scheming ways?
Y&R Spoilers: Who Would She Target?
Diane is set to have a confrontation with Kyle in the days ahead. If she feels threatened by her son, she may want to teach him a lesson about who he’s dealing with, at work.
Diane will reason that her scheme is merely to put Kyle back in his place and to keep his focus on Jabot and the Abbott legacy. After all, once she’s ready to step down, he’ll assume her position.
Then again, if she wants Jack to stop being Nikki’s AA sponsor, she may decide to concoct a plan that will ensure Jack steps away from this.
Whether it’s setting Nikki up to fall off the wagon, where Jack may realize she needs rehab to get better (and not him), or possibly poking at Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to put his foot down; Diane doing something to manipulate a situation so she gets “her way” could be on the horizon.
