General Hospital Spoilers reveal Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is in dire straits. There is little likelihood of him making it out of the Quartermaine grounds without being spotted, and it’s even less likely that he will get out of Port Charles now while the manhunt for him continues.
He needs a legal way to stay in town and deal with the outcome of all that has transpired. While he may not have been the person who shot Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), and he may not have fired the gun in Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) direction either, Jason was present with the gunman who did and has knowledge of the attacks on Sonny and other mobsters’ lives.
Reaching out to Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) may seem like the best option Jason has. But if Diane helps him, she could find herself in hot water with her number one client — Sonny.
Furthermore, her boyfriend — District Attorney Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) — would be none too happy with her. What lies ahead for Diane if she goes out on this limb for Jason?
Jason has no shortage of friends and family who are willing to see him through this mess. He’s not asking for Diane’s help to test the lengths of her friendship with him.
Rather, he needs a brilliant attorney on his side — and she’s the best in the business. But Jason must know that reaching out to Diane carries tremendous risk.
Not only could the police be watching her every move out of suspicion that he might lean on her, but Diane has a personal and professional relationship with Sonny.
She may be required to turn Jason away because he is suspected of having been involved in an attack on Sonny and his son.
Diane has a duty to notify any potential clients of any breach in her ability to help them. If they would pose a conflict of interest, she has to tell them so.
But it’s likely Jason already knows this. He’s going to request her guidance anyway, and it may put Diane in a tight spot.
Inclined to help him and believing there is no way he is guilty of harming Dante — or wanting to harm Sonny — she just might extend an olive branch. But will she have to keep that from Sonny?
How many times can Robert and Diane go around and around over Sonny and what he does for a living? While everyone has a right to fair representation, Robert constantly feels like Diane believes Sonny is above the law.
Tolerating her inflated respect for him has been a pain point in his relationship with Diane, and bringing Jason into the mix certainly won’t help matters.
If Robert gets the sense that Diane is working against him to clear Jason’s name, it could be the final straw that breaks this camel’s back.
Will he and Diane be able to save their relationship as the legal battle between the state, feds, Sonny, and Jason ensues?
Will Diane be able to spare her relationship with Sonny when assisting Jason? Stay tuned for more GH news and spoilers to find out.
