Getting kidnapped, being held hostage, and their pseudo-wedding should have solidified their future together as a Salem super couple; however, the elephant in the room of how they got in the beer tank will linger over Tripp’s head in the days following their rescue.

Days spoilers suggest that despite escaping death together, getting home from their kidnapping crisis could create a wedge between Wendy and Tripp.

While they bonded during their beer tank situation, Tripp may begin to not only worry about Wendy’s safety moving forward, but he might start to feel responsible for it.

It’s not his fault, but he is the son of former mob queen Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), and due to her bad life choices and ties to Clyde Weston (James Read), his gal pal’s life (and sanity) was put on the line.

He may start to believe that placing distance between himself and Wendy is the best way to go.

Especially since Clyde is still on the loose.

DOOL spoilers imply that while nothing was legally binding, Tripp and Wendy did say vows before they passed out.

They thought they were going to die, but fans know that these two have major feelings for each other and were headed towards the direction of marriage.

Once they are back in Salem and in the swing of things, Days spoilers suggest that Tripp will have second thoughts. He may believe that Wendy will continually be in danger and risk of the same kidnapping situation happening again (and again) if he stays with her.

Tripp saw the panic attacks Wendy endured while being locked up in that beer tank, and all he wants to do is protect her.

Could he believe the only way to achieve this is by breaking things off? No connections to him, or his mom, will essentially mean she’s “safe” from danger.
