General Hospital’s Kate Mansi Shares Her Thoughts On Blaze’s Mom

General Hospital’s Blaze and Kristina finally got together but the morning after was not without its fair share of drama — and things are about to become a lot more complicated between them.

General Hospital’s Blaze Made The Biggest Move Of Her Life

There was a time not too long ago when Kristina Corinthos Davis (Kate Mansi) wasn’t sure if she should be with Allison Rogers Ramirez, aka Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez).

She wasn’t comfortable with the fact that Blaze thought she should hide their romance, but Blaze had finally come around. She asked Kristina to spend the night and when her mother showed up, she told her the truth. She is gay and Kristina is her girlfriend.

GH scored quite a casting coup when it hired soap opera veteran Eva LaRue to play Blaze’s mother, a woman who is so far having trouble accepting who her daughter really is. Kristina tried to make herself scarce, but Blaze insisted she stay, much to Natalia Rogers Ramirez’s chagrin.

Now, Kristina is going to have to contend with Blaze’s mother questioning her personal life and things are going to get even more dicey when Natalia learns that Kristina is pregnant with her brother-in-law’s child.

At least Kate Mansi is having the time of her life working with a legend like LaRue.

“Right away, we were doing these funny one-liners back and forth [between scenes]. Like, Blaze said something like, ‘Kristina is more than my friend, she’s my partner,’ and then they’d call, ‘Cut!’ and Eva and I would look and each other and we’d be like, ‘She means writing partner,’ or she’d be like, ‘Yeah, yeah, she means producing partner, right?’ We were just dying laughing,” Mansi told Soap Opera Digest.

“We were just being very silly, and then [when the cameras started rolling] she would snap in it and be totally in it. I caught myself, even in scenes, being like, ‘Oh, wait, I’m working!’ because I would just be watching her. She’s very mesmerizing.”

Will LaRue be sticking around GH for the foreseeable future? She is only recurring for now, but has said she is willing to play Natalia for as long as GH wants her.
