Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) continue to get closer, and it looks like a bonafide romance is on the horizon. As their connection grows, what will be the next “thing” that solidifies their relationship?

Y&R Spoilers: Summer Newman’s Peanut Allergy

Y&R spoilers note that during the Monday, January 29th show, Summance (their official “ship” name now be used …) went out on a “real” date.

The friends got to know each other better, and the topic of Summer’s severe allergy to peanuts came up. Longtime viewers know all too well that when she was younger, she fell into a coma when villainess Patty Williams (Stacy Haiduk) intentionally kissed her after eating a peanut butter cookie. The little girl suffered from brain damage and even needed to learn how to speak again.

Of course, that’s all in the past, and Summer is fine now, but it was interesting that this was brought up during their recent dinner. Is the show foreshadowing something that could happen soon?

Y&R Spoilers: Chance Comes To Summer’s Rescue

Chance assured Summer during their dinner date that he’d leap into action if anything of the sort occurred. Ms. Newman would be in good hands if this happens and Chance is around, after all, he was a police officer and he’s used to emergencies. He’ll know exactly what to do and how to help.

If Chance saved Summer, he certainly would not only be her hero, but the two would get that much closer. He would also win over Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) for saving their daughter, and likely the rest of the Newman clan.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Chance have a bit of a tumultuous relationship because of his marriage to Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway); however, would this all be wiped clean after he saves Summer’s life?
