General Hospital Spoilers: What Happened To Wyndemere’s Mystery Buyer?

General Hospital spoilers remind that Wyndemere was slated to be bought months ago. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was on board to sell the damp castle to the highest bidder, and one came through with certain provisions that Ava Jerome (Maura West) was willing to entertain.

Then, as fast as the offer came, mention of it disappeared. What happened to the mysterious interested buyer, and why haven’t we heard another word about it even though Ava has already moved out?

Why is the property just sitting idly by, waiting for Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) to break into it when it could be taken off of Ava’s hands so she’s not paying for her penthouse and the mansion?

The only caveat the mystery buyer has was that they wanted to remain anonymous. Ava was down with that quirk. She didn’t care who they were, as long as they had the loot to unload this burden from her shoulders.

But then she never followed up on it. Why not? Did Ava secretly want to hold onto the castle — the last place she shared any good memories with Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss), despite the bad memories it also held?

GH Spoilers Hint Nikolas Could Be Part Of The Equation

Speaking of Nikolas, it’s possible that he was the mystery buyer. Maybe it wasn’t Ava who disappeared, but Nikolas. Perhaps he had the idea that he could have bought his family estate back from Ava without her knowing — thereby undoing her win of his empire when they divorced.

It was the only thing she wanted at the time — likely because she knew it would hit him where it hurt. Nikolas acted like he didn’t care about giving the place up to her, but that was also when he thought he might be successful at getting his ex-wife back.

Without much hope for that after she tried to kill him, did Nikolas find himself longing for another way to get it back before she sold it to someone else?

General Hospital Spoilers — On The Market

Nikolas came back to Port Charles in the wake of Austin Gatlin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) death. His ex-wife was single once again, though she never really publicly considered Austin as anything more than her friend.

Still, from Nik’s point of view, they were lovers. With the mansion on the market, and Ava also back on the market, was Nikolas’ trip home just an attempt to feel her out and see where he stands?
