The newest installment of Hallmark Movies & Mysteries will feature Heaven Down Here and the network’s press release stated, “When no one planned to spend Christmas Eve in a diner away from their loved ones, it turns out they were exactly where they needed to be.” It went on to say that there are “four disparate people who find themselves stranded in a local diner on Christmas Eve when a snowstorm hits the town.”
One of the people stranded at the diner is Imani. She works at the diner. She has two children and is a widow. Her life has never been easy and she continues to barely make ends meet. All she wants to do is provide for her family, but it seems nearly impossible for her.
She wanted to spend time with her family on Christmas Eve, but instead, she picked up a shift at the diner. Even though she thinks she will be able to make some extra cash, her boss, Dan, is not exactly a caring kind of guy. This may have been a huge mistake to pick up this shift.
Another patron who is stuck at the diner is Pastor Felix. He has been challenged in his life as well. His life is plagued with problems and one of those is trying to get his parishioners food.
He is having a lot of trouble finding food donations since it seems like a lot of people in the area are struggling with money right now. He has also been alienated from his son and that has been testing him.
A woman named Clara is also stuck in the diner. She is a hospice nurse and she has had a lot of issues lately, especially when it comes to questioning mortality. While stuck in the diner, the four of them will bond over life and their problems.
Heaven Down Here airs on Thursday, December 14 at 8 p.m. EST on Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
