General Hospital Spoilers: Dex Is Concerned About Adam’s Behavior, Is He Afraid Of His Parents?

General Hospital spoilers and updates tease Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is concerned about Adam Wright’s (Joshua Benard) behavior. Dex has kept a close eye on Adam because of his association with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy)-he thinks Adam’s afraid of his parents.

General Hospital Spoilers: Adam Wright Seems Emotionally Dependent

Adam seems to be emotionally dependent on Josslyn, and although the two are supposed to be just study partners, he’s showing up more and more.

Dex and Josslyn both notice that Adam seems very troubled, and Josslyn says Adam’s parents are a big part of that and Adam is constantly stressed.

Their expectations are so high that Adam seems deathly afraid of not measuring up, even when he gets very high grades-it’s like near perfection is not enough.

Dex recently opened up to Josslyn about a horrible childhood of his own and seems some things in Adam’s behavior that used to be in his.

He wonders if his parents’ acceptance is based on performance, and not on real love for their son, which is something that was sorely lacking in his own younger years.

GH Spoilers: Josslyn Jacks And Trina Robinson Try To Give Him Support

Josslyn and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) both have been trying to give Adam support, and encourage him to live his life and accept himself.

It seems like no matter what he does, it’s never good enough for his parents-and so it can never be good enough for him. Adam and his problems remind Dex a lot of his mother, being afraid to speak up for herself because of cheating and abuse on his father’s part.

Adam is a student and probably supported by his parents so the situation is a little different than Dex’s mother’s was. But when he’s too afraid to tell the truth to his father about a make-up test and lies, that throws up lots of red flags.

General Hospital Spoilers: Adam Wright Needs Help

Dex and Josslyn agree that Adam needs help, but how do you help someone who doesn’t admit they need it? Adam seems to be spiraling after every interaction with his parents, at least those they know of.

He’s too old to call Child Protective Services to take action, and besides, that’s so intrusive and can ruin peoples’ lives.

Dex feels sorry for the kid because his problems remind him of his mother’s, and wishes he could get free of his overbearing parents. Dex ran away from home and joined the military but Adam doesn’t have that option, unfortunately.
