Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Due To Illness, Thomas DiMera Recast “Fills In” During Christmas Season

Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers hint that a new face will be seen in Salem during the holiday season. While young actor Cary Christoper normally plays the role of Thomas DiMera, the part has been temporarily recast for the Christmas scenes in Salem. What’s the reason behind this? DOOL Spoilers: Cary Christopher Got Sick

Days spoilers note that as per Cary Christopher’s Facebook, he was sick with the flu during the filming of Days Christmas scenes and couldn’t take part. Unfortunately, this left DOOL with an urgent recast situation; however, thankfully, according to Soap Opera Digest (SOD) young actor Henry Witcher was able to step in.

Looks like both Thomas and his sister Charlotte DiMera (Autumn Gendron) will participate in the annual and beloved Horton Christmas tree trimming event, which is a tradition that both the Hortons and fans look forward to, each and every year.

As their father Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) recently split with Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), he’ll likely do all he can to make sure his kiddos have the best Christmas possible, and the Horton family will step it up to ensure Abigail DiMera’s (Marci Miller) children have a magical holiday season.

Days Spoilers: Cary Christopher Will Be Back

While it is super sad that Cary couldn’t take part in the Christmas festivities this year, the silver lining in this all is that young Mr. Christopher will be back onscreen at some point in the near future.

Cary certainly brings out the inquisitive and innocent nature that Thomas has, so fans will have to catch the soap in 2024 to witness Mr. Christopher’s big return.

Plus, it allowed Henry Witcher to score a sweet soap opera gig and get some exposure. He’s sure to do an amazing job, and likely have some fun along the way, too!
