Y&R spoilers suggest that while Kyle is smitten with Ms. Charles, Audra could take or leave Mr. Abbott. Actress Zuleyka Silver recently spoke with Soaps.com, chiming in on what motivates her character.

When Audra was forced between choosing her job at Newman and Kyle, she was quick to toss Abbott to the curb.

Ms. Silver notes that Audra doesn’t fully trust anyone and likes to keep people emotionally at bay, as she doesn’t want to become vulnerable to them.

This inevitably happens when you spend time with people, you open up to them. The actress reveals that Audra’s coldness is due to what she went through with Noah Newman (Rory Gibson), and how she got hurt.

Zuleyka adds that Audra’s relationship with Noah left her apprehensive about getting close to someone else again, whether this is a conscious or subconscious thought.

Ms. Silver adds that the situation changed her and had her become cold when it comes to relationships, with much more of a focus on her career.

Zuleyka states in the Soaps.com interview that if Audra was given the choice between career and love right now, she’d “100%” prioritize her career.

There’s one small speed bump that could cause her to choose romance, and that would be if she truly fell in love. Still, Ms. Silver notes that Audra is quite guarded currently, so who knows if she’ll “allow” this to happen.
