Who Is Eddie Maine On General Hospital?

Eddie Maine (Wally Kurth) has been a character on General Hospital off and on for years. Who is Eddie? Eddie is an alias and the stage name for Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth).

Eddie was the hame Ned was using when he met Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) who talked him into getting on stage and singing.

Ned Quartermaine Blackmailed Katherine Bell

Ned chose to blackmail Katherine Bell under his legal name while seeing Lois under his stage name. Ned ended up marrying both women.

His marriage to Lois was legal, but the marriage to Katherine wasn’t. Lois then found out about Katherine and she and Ned split up. Ned had to go through the motions of “divorcing” Katherine.

Lois later forgave Ned and married him a second time. Unfortunately, when Lois got pregnant, she wanted no part of raising her child around the Quartermaines.

Ned tried to focus on his wife and his signing career but Edward Quartermaine (John Ingle). Edward then stole Ned and Lois’ record company, L and B Records from them.

Lois Cerullo Left Ned Quartermaine Anyway

Lois asked for help from Jasper Jax (ex-Ingo Rademacher) who wanted more than a business relationship with her.

Instead, Lois introduced Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) to Jax creating a decades-long rivalry between Jax and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Lois was happy with Ned until he took over as CEO of ELQ again.

Ned being in the family business was the last straw for Lois, she packed up their daughter, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton), and moved back to Brooklyn with her family.

Brook Lynn followed in Eddie’s footsteps and became a singer as well. However, her career was ended by Nelle Benson (ex-Chloe Lanier) when she cut her throat and left her for dead.

Eddie Maine Still Appears At Times

Right now is the first time that Ned has gone by Eddie Maine in a while. However, Ned does perform at the Nurses Ball quite often.

Ned and Olivia have performed and Ned has performed with Emma Drake (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) as well. Can fans still hop to see Eddie/Ned perform at future Nurse’s Balls as well? After all, fans still love to see him perform.

Ned likes to go back into Eddie’s character from time to time just to show what he can do. Will Ned continue to keep Eddie’s character around now that Olivia has fallen for him?

Will Eddie record some new stuff now that Brook Lynn is offering to manage his career as well? Perhaps Eddie and Olivia can do a song as well sometime soon.
