General Hospital Spoilers: Mental Health Takes Center Stage Where Adam Wright Storyline Is Concerned

General Hospital (GH) spoilers imply that there is more than meets the eye where Adam Wright (Joshua Benard) is concerned.

He first entered the canvas in the spring of 2022 as a creep who hassled Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) about her “viral video” with Cameron Webber (William Lipton).

As time wore on, he more than redeemed himself, becoming a friend and study partner to Ms. Jack.

But, will mental health take center stage where his storyline is concerned?

GH Spoilers: Is Adam Wright Obsessed With Josslyn Jacks Or Just Getting Good Grades?

GH spoilers hint that Adam is always ready for a study sesh. In the nicest of ways, he is constantly encouraging Joss to hit the books with him and always seems to be at her door or around the corner.

As this is the land of soaps, it’s hard not to think that he may be obsessed with Joss, and this could turn into a stalker arc.

Still, his character recently received a “bad” grade and had an unusual reaction. Adam didn’t only appear upset but seemed to be in (physical) pain. Will this storyline turn dark, where he targets Ms. Jack or is there more to it all?

GH Spoilers: The Soap Is No Stranger To Mental Health Storylines

Daytime drama is known for presenting unrealistic mental health storylines, and GH has been guilty of this as well; however, they’ve also been successful at raising awareness by creating genuine arcs when it comes to mental health instability.

Adam Wright’s portrayer, Joshua Benard has a family link to the show through his dad Maurice Benard (Sonny Corinthos), who has struggled with real-life mental health issues, and his character has, too.

GH kept it “all in the family” when Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) developed bipolar, as well.

Maybe Adam won’t be obsessed with Joss; however, maybe he does suffer from anxiety. He’s looking to become a doctor and get into a good medical school.

Perhaps his parents are also placing pressure on him, which is causing his obsession with good grades and studying. Then again, he could suffer from another mental health condition, from bipolar to personality disorder, or even depression.
