General Hospital Spoilers: Is Jane Elliot Leaving General Hospital?

General Hospital (GH) spoilers show that Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) left Port Charles, New York this week to join Bobbie Spencer (the late Jacklyn Zeman) in Amsterdam in order to wrap up Luke Spencer’s (Anthony Geary) affairs.

The good news is that Daytime Emmy winner Elliot will be back onscreen soon according to Soap Opera Digest.

General Hospital Spoilers: Jane Elliot Plays Tracy Quartermaine

Elliot debuted on the ABC sudser in 1978 and won the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in 1981.

Tracy is the daughter of Lila and Edward Quartermaine and her son Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) and granddaughter Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) reside in Port Chuck.

Back in the day Tracy was part of one of daytime’s most memorable scenes when she withheld her father’s heart medication while he writhed on the floor.

It turns out that Edward was testing her loyalty and faking his symptoms. When Tracy came back to town recently, she brought her shenanigans with her!

She helped Brook Lynn get Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) back in the PCPD but blackmailed her for the favor. She made Brook Lynn return to her job at Deception and commit corporate espionage. Once the deception was revealed, Tracy stunned her granddaughter by taking controlling interest in the business and saying it was her gift to her.

At the same time, Tracy has had to contend with Ned having amnesia. Her solution was to have him committed, something his wife Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) refused to do.

Clearly Tracy has a lot of unfinished business in Port Charles, so it’s great news that the fan fave will be back onscreen soon.

One of Tracy’s loose ends is Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison), Chase’s father. He has been diagnosed with ALS and the two have struck up an unlikely friendship.

Fans are loving the friendship between Tracy and Gregory and it would be terrific for Gregory to discover he’s been misdiagnosed. Maybe Tracy will find a specialist in Amsterdam who will discover the truth? If anyone can wrestle with fate and win, it’s Tracy Quartermaine!
