Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is madly in love with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali); however, she’s starting to lose her patience with his obsession with being a father figure to his baby brother, Ace Cassadine (Jay and Joey Clay).

GH spoilers suggest that Sprina is hanging on by a thread. During a recent disagreement, Spencer outright told Trina that if she asked him to choose between Ace and her, she wouldn’t like the answer.

Spencer had a rough childhood. Without a real mother figure in his life, other than his grandmother Laura Collins (Genie Francis), an absent father had him feeling very abandoned.

The reason why he’s so adamant about being in Ace’s life and acting like his dad is likely because he doesn’t want his baby brother to grow up feeling as alone as he did.

GH Spoilers: With Trina Out Of The Picture, Spencer Will Gravitate Toward Esme

Trina was quick to snap back at Spencer, essentially walking out on him after he made that statement noting that she’d save him from having to choose between Ace and her by just leaving.

Ms. Robinson may decide to cut the umbilical cord and officially break up with Spencer. She loves him but can’t play second fiddle to his baby brother.

It’s not even about “choosing between” the two for Trina, it’s about Spence realizing the role he should play in Ace’s life and allow Esme to move on.

At the end of the day, Spencer is Ace’s brother, not his father. Sure, he can support the little guy and spend massive amounts of time with him, but the child has a predominant caretaker in his mom, Esme; she’s more than capable of taking care of him on her own (with some help via babysitting, now and again).

Ms. Prince has acknowledged she has feelings for Spencer and needs to get out of their living arrangements since he is with Trina.

Still, with Trina possibly out of the romantic picture, will Mr. Cassadine allow his guard to go down with Esme? Could she end up staying at Laura’s and could these two reunite?
