Days of Our Lives spoilers and rumors tease Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun) and Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash) get devious.
Ava’s helping Stefan try to get Gabi DiMera’s (most recently Camila Banus) charges vacated and they plot to frame EJ DiMera (Dan Feurreriegel) for Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) murder.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: EJ DiMera And Li Shin Had A Fraught Past
EJ and Li had a fraught past which culminated in EJ firing Li from DiMera Enterprises, even though he was the son of an important board member, Wei Shin (Clyde Kusatsu).
Li and EJ constantly schemed and fought against each other, much of it because of Li’s part in bringing Stefan back to life with his twin’s heart.
EJ wanted to be top dog of DiMera and the heck with any of the other siblings; Stefan and Gabi represented threats to his position, as did Jake DiMera (Brandon Barash).
There are enough instances of Li and EJ clashing to make it believable EJ could have killed him, even though it’s hard to deny Gabi holding that knife in her hand.
Gabi was in shock seeing Li stabbed on the floor, and even though Li himself said it was her they need to create reasonable doubt that it wasn’t.
DOOL Spoilers: A Slam Dunk Case-Maybe Not
It didn’t help that Li’s sister Wendy Shin (Victoria Grace) and Tripp Johnson (Lucas Adams) walked in right after Stefan did and saw Gabi with the knife.
The odds that Gabi didn’t kill Li are much greater than the odds that she didn’t, but what was her motive-she and Stefan were married, and he couldn’t stop it.
The main disagreement between Gabi and Li was her trying to keep her and Stefan apart, and that was no longer the case, and she pulled the knife out.
Li certainly still had resentment against her or he wouldn’t have implicated her in his murder with his last words, but reasonable doubt is all they need.
Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Motive, Means, Opportunity
EJ certainly would have had motive and means to get rid of Li Shin, especially if there was recent friction between the two-but they have to determine if he had opportunity.
Since Ava lives in the apartment where Li was killed, with her son Tripp and Wendy, she’s in a prime position to “find” some more evidence implicating EJ.
There’s a case to be made that Gabi holding the knife was too obvious, and that Li’s last words were motivated by revenge.
Then all Ava has to do is invite Harris Michaels (Steve Burton) over and “find” this new evidence while he’s there. He responded to the original call when Li was killed, but he didn’t do the crime scene investigation or forensics-he just arrested Gabi.
