The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) implemented the next of multiple steps in his plan. Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) became the latest person to be manipulated by the great man.

Victor has long reigned in Genoa City, Wisconsin. But he told his wife and recently revealed to his oldest son that he feels his position is under attack.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) were unable to convince Victor that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) would never betray him. But Victor feels that she could be used by Nate.

As usual, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is the fall guy. He is seen by everyone, except Victor, as the only true threat.

Victoria considers her father’s suspicions about Nate, as passed to her through Nick, to be absurd. She finds it ridiculous that Victor believes Nate could use this health ruse to gain power.

Meanwhile, Adam contacted and met with a psychiatrist. He had a serious heart-to-heart with the doctor, who suggested a full-blown examination be conducted.

Adam will attempt to convince his father to have himself checked out while, as also part of Victor’s plan, he just accepted Nate’s advice to do the same.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings’ Medical Advice Sought Again

Nate helped Victor to fake his death during a prior storyline where the goal was to expose Adam. But in this instance, the diabolical Newman patriarch and founder of the family business is not just testing Adam.

Dominic’s character admitted to trying to seize control of Chancellor-Winters in the recent past. He was aligned with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and her boss, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John), at that point in the plot.

Due to the pressure Nate’s then significant other, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy), applied, Nate cut his efforts at the last minute. However, as the audience and Victor know, Victoria was backing Nate’s plan because she intended to use Newman Enterprises’ capital to obtain CW during the intended initial public offering.

So, it will appear as though Nate is keeping secrets from Victoria. He will be made to look devious, which is what Victor seemingly intends. Victoria and Nate’s bond could be broken this fall.

Nick appeared to convince his sister to go along with his and their mother’s plan to go along with Victor in hopes of revealing Adam as the snake. But Nick and Nikki are also waiting to see if Nate betrays Victoria’s trust on Y&R.
