The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is conning all of his kids into believing that he’s having a nervous breakdown—it’s for their own good!
Victor rationalizes his cruelty by wanting to weed out the traitors, but this over the top scheme could come back to bite him.
Explosive show spoilers reveal that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) comes upon some intel that leaves him shaken to his core. For now Victor has confused the kids by calling them by the wrong name and pretending to not to be up on current events.
But when Victor tries to pass off some doodling as an important document, Adam has a wakeup call that sounds like a siren.
After Adam finds the damning evidence, he shows it to his brother Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) with a plea to do something. But, at this moment Nick has an epiphany!
Nick puts two and two together, with Adam’s discovery and clues Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) has given. In the end Nick realizes that dear old dad is faking dementia.
Nick doesn’t tell Adam his realization he just fluffs him off, not ready to confide in the traitor. Instead, Nick traipses over to the ranch where he confronts Victor on his mean role play.
Victor won’t give up his secret immediately. But Nick demands that his father come clean to him with a confession. Victor is used to being the one who gives the orders, so Nick has his work cut out for him.
But Nick has learned at the feet of the master manipulator and demands to know the truth. Victor eventually gives his son what he wants and Nick is furious although relieved at the same time.
While he is justifiably angry about being played by Victor, he is also happy that he is right about the con being just that.
