She needed to pay off the insurance company for her fraudulent death claim, which meant agreeing to do Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) dirty work in his mission to gain access to Jabot.

She was stuck between a rock and a hard place, as she’d been trying to do better, but she needed to square away that debt. Still, it’s clear that Red is also looking for redemption and reconciliation where Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is concerned. So, what’s next for Phyllis?

Y&R spoilers state that the week of October 16th, Phyllis will make a risky decision. Will she decide to fully dive into an alliance with Jack, against Tucker?

Red already helped him recently, by giving him a tip about a wiretap software and app that Tucker purchased, which will literally give him “eyes and ears” all over Genoa City to spy on people.

Jack promised that he and Red would be “good” if she came through for him; however, even though she did, he agreed that the intel she had given him was a “good start” in him forgiving her, but he’s not exactly there yet.

How far will Phyllis go to gain Jack’s approval?

For one reason or another, Phyllis is desperate to make things right with her ex. Not necessarily for romantic intentions, but for friendship reasons.

Abbott has always been a fixture in her life, even when they were in a relationship. They always managed to be friends, even during their ugliest of breakups, so Red may genuinely miss having Jack in her life, even in the smallest of ways.

With that being said, she also promised herself that the “work” she did for Tucker was the absolute last time she’d scheme or do something underhanded. But is she willing to break that promise, fully align with Jack, and try to bring Tucker down?
