Days Of Our Lives spoilers indicate that Aketra Sevillian has vacated the role of Talia Hunter as she packed up and headed back to California. Aketra recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest about her exit, here’s what she had to say.

Budget Cuts Had Stars On Edge

Days of Our Lives Spoilers reveal that they had heard about budget cuts happening and several people were concerned. Several people were afraid of being the one on the chopping block.

Suddenly, Aketra was summoned to the office of ex-co-executive producer, Albert Alarr. Aketra thought things were going well with her character and didn’t expect to be the one on the chopping block.

Aketra says that she was the last one on the show so she had to be the first to go. It had nothing to do with her acting. The door was even left open for Talia to return when the budget improves.

In the meantime, Talia was written to have returned to California because things had gotten a bit too sticky after she slept with Shawn Brady (ex-Brandon Beemer).

DOOL Spoilers: The Tears Were About Me Leaving

When discussing her departure from the show, Sevillian says the tears in her final scene were not exactly scripted tears, it was her reaction to leaving the show.

That isn’t saying that Talia wasn’t sad about leaving Salem, just that Sevillian was just as sad about leaving the show and all of the friends she had made there.

Sevillian says that after being here for six months, she was Talia with all of her thoughts and feelings. It is very hard to walk away when you have put so much of yourself into a character only to have that taken away from you.

Of course, being new to daytime, Sevillian has the potential to show up on another show at any time.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Aketra Sevillian Has A New Career

Since her exit from Days, Aketra has completed aesthetician school. Sevillian says she is in the process of finding her own suite in a salon now that she has her license.

That way she will have her business and is keeping up with her acting as well in case she gets another acting job. Aketra says he has auditioned for some voiceovers.

Sevillian would love to come back to Days if the opportunity presented itself. She says she loves everything about the show and acting is her craft. If the opportunity presented itself, she says, “I would 1000 percent want to be on Days or any other soap.
