Victoria was among a group of top executives summoned to the Ranch recently. She was told, as were all others, except Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott), that change was coming to Newman Enterprises.

Victor delivers on his promise by stepping back into the big chair in the main C-suite at Newman Towers.

The iconic oil-based portrait that hung above the mantel was replaced. Initially, the painting Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi and Robert Newman) purchased for his wife replaced Victor’s ego-tripped likeness.

But Ashland’s fall into madness resulted in Victor and Nikki commissioning a replacement image of Victoria that has since adorned her executive office.

Of course, Victor never officially stepped down from power at the company he co-founded and still heads. He has kept his fingers on the levers of power, while also regularly reminding Victoria who the real boss is.

So, will Victor have his portrait rehung or have his hung aside Victoria’s?

But Victor has merely halved Victoria’s status. She still retains the CEO title, albeit with an unwanted equal being her father on Y&R.
