The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) does not know what to do with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Their connection goes beyond friendship but is not currently romantic.

Adam refuses to give up on Sally, even though he knows that his older brother is someone she is in love with. Adam even said that he hopes she comes to him someday and says that she still loves him.

Meanwhile, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) believes that Sally is committed to him, and she is. However, the audience can see that the chemistry between Sally and Adam is not one-sided.

Adam is a nudge, and he knows it. He took an opportunity and exploited Nick being out of town on business to spend as much time with Sally as possible.

Sally is the woman he is in love with or is fixating on, depending upon one’s point of view. However, it is noteworthy to mention that Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case), who is one of the women who once loved Adam completely, recognizes the sincerity of his feelings for Sally.

Being a Newman means not having to think about lasting consequences. So, not needing to work but wanting to, Adam’s career is not a major priority. That reality leaves more time to focus on Sally whenever he feels like it.

If one were to offer Nick some advice it would be to not leave town that often or for too long. Adam reconnected with Sally big time.

Her inability to tell Nick about Adam kissing her includes withholding that she put herself in that position by first agreeing to have dinner with him. Plus, she did not have to allow Adam to walk her to the doorway of her Genoa City Athletic Club suite.

But Sally wants to walk this thin line. She still feels that Adam is bad for her long-term and that Nick is the right fit for a sweet, stable life.

Sally is not playing one brother against the other. She has been very clear with Adam. He has chosen to not accept her message that they will never be together again.

Adam can only play the waiting game. He is forcing himself to believe that Sally’s feelings for Nick will dissipate and that her deeper love for him will prevail.

But the longer Sally sticks with Nick, the seemingly greater the odds that Adam will not realize what he believes is destiny on Y&R.
