The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is trapped. She owes the life insurance company two million dollars and has no way to pay it.

Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) used his soapy powers to confirm that information and is exploiting it. His tactic was to offer Phyllis a dirty job.

Stafford’s character has been trying to find where Jeremy Stark (James Hyde) hid the insurance policy he cashed in after he and Phyllis faked her murder. Jeremy is also believed to have stolen approximately half of her life savings.

Before Phyllis agreed to Tucker’s subversive plan to hack into Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) financial records and use them as part of a Jabot takeover plan she should have considered other options.

Devoted fans are wondering what Phyllis did with all the money she gained when Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), one of Chancellor-Winters’ heads, bought the Grand Phoenix Hotel.

Phyllis had to make many millions in that deal and if Jeremy only took half her life savings, she should have enough left to pay off the insurance company.

But even if Phyllis did not, her best friend, Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman), is a highly successful businesswoman. Surely Lauren could have loaned Phyllis some money and or helped her to secure assets to pay off the debt.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Tucker McCall Acting Out Of Spite

Tucker had a major falling out with his remarried wife. He was incensed that Ashley Abbott McCall (Eileen Davidson) was unwilling to go through with their plan to form Simply Ashley.

Since Ashley wants to remain part of Jabot, Tucker has a problem. He appears to have lost the love of his life, after only officially reconciling through to remarriage weeks ago, and no longer owns McCall Unlimited, having sold it to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) in the recent past.

So, with cash to burn, Tucker intends to use Phyllis as part of a plan to grab Jabot. He does not care about the company but wants to use its acquisition as a weapon to punish the Abbott family. How he will do that and not alienate his son, Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James), remains to be seen.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Is Resourceful

Never count out the Phoenix, a nickname Phyllis gave herself. That statement is wise because Stafford’s character has a long history of returning to life when she seemed like a certain goner.

The current situation is not nearly as bad as when she was in a coma or was thought to be dead. Phyllis simply needs to determine how to reverse the tables on Tucker and help the Abbotts on Y&R.
