The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) remains conflicted. Viewers know it, while Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is not yet aware.

In the back of his mind, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) believes that he and the woman he loves will reunite at some point in the plot. However, that time may be closer than he suspects.

Recent developments had Sally preening herself before she opened her door to greet Adam and days later, him kissing her.

Nick’s business partnership with Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) is not traditional in the monied or personal sense. He does not appear to be a full-fledged partner, with her offer to help her run Kristen Incorporated being more of an employee-like scenario.

Sharon wants Nick’s expertise and is playing off their history with the company’s late, namesake owner. Y&R’s fiftieth-anniversary celebration includes the returns of many former characters, including Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby).

So, it felt natural for Sharon to think Nick would be a good fit at the again stand-alone KI. But Sally’s reaction shot to Nick’s openness to that prospect was telling.

Adam was the man Sally loved, not Nick. Morrow’s character appeared on Sally’s radar only after Adam coldly dumped after leaving Newman Media.

Nick distrusted Sally because she was with Adam. But Nick came to respect Sally once he got to know her. Their relationship is formed and is legitimate. Adam recognizes that reality but does not think the pairing will endure.

However, Sally’s bond with Adam is forever because of the girl, Ava Hope, they were going to have. The miscarriage was devastating and even though it took time, they grieved together and seemed to have reached a different point in their connection.

Adam is hopefully being genuine. He is telling everyone that he wants to make amends.

Citing Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) choice to leave GC as a reason appears to prove that Adam is serious about becoming a better person. Victor is open to his request to start at the bottom of Newman Enterprises and work his way to the top.

Sally wants to believe that Adam is sincere. If so, she is likely to be drawn to his improved edition. That would alter the triangle, which includes Nick, on Y&R.
