The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) believes her mother is too intrusive. But Brooke Logan (Katherine Kelly Lang) is just expressing learned experience.

Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) was, without question, the most dangerous choice Hope could make as an alternative to Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton).

Her husband warned her not to allow Thomas to be part of the fashion event in Rome, Italy, because Liam could feel a storm brewing.

Well, the thunderclaps were heard the moment Clifton’s character witnessed his wife kiss Thomas aside of the fabled Coliseum and then pull him back for a second go-round.

Heavy consequences soon followed, with Liam confronting Hope at the cabin and his divorce demand caused Hope to have the legal papers drawn, which both parties signed.

Brooke’s infamous romantic reputation precedes itself. Stephanie Forrester (played by the fabulous Susan Flannery) used a certain phrase to define Brooke’s exploits.

While Hope is not from the Valley like her mother, Brooke believes she has begun following the same path Stephanie excoriated. Connecting with Ridge Forrester’s (Thorsten Kaye) son is something Flannery’s character would recognize as deeply ironic.

Brooke eventually proved her love for Ridge to Stephanie. Flannery’s character came to care for her daughter-in-law Brooke, with the beach farewell beloved by hardcore viewers. But Hope is miles away from her mother accepting Thomas.

Ridge is proud of Thomas for stabilizing his mind. That accomplishment allowed work on Hope for the Future to electrify the fashion press in Italy.

But Ridge and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) are concerned that the relationship he recently started with Hope could derail the progress he made. More concerning is the potential for Thomas’ vulnerability to Hope causing him to fall if or when this pairing does not progress.

Hope was seen by many as a sweet person. The only character who disagreed vehemently with that description was Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) during the years when she and Hope vied for Liam’s affection.

Brooke’s intentions are understood. Hope knows that her mother does not want her to get hurt and has legitimate concerns about Thomas based on the many damaging actions he was responsible for across the years to her and other people.

But Hope feels a connection with Thomas that is unlike any she has experienced before. That experience, rather than her mother’s, is what is driving Hope’s choices on B&B.
